Despite the science (recent
@theeconomist report), I am all in favor of making Daylight Saving Time permanent: in winter, it will be dark in most states anyway for most people when getting back from work. In early and late summer, one hour more gives you some weeks more to enjoy an evening swim in daylight, etc.
So, for once, I can agree with the #OrangePeril on something.
Now… this is very interesting because ‘deemed to be here illegally’ is a completely arbitrary state now - they’ve rounded up and deported people with green cards, legal immigrants awaiting status designation, the American born children of illegal immigrants, etc.
So… this is a tool for arbitrary arrest.
Next month, #Fedilab will be 8 years old. That's somewhat amazing to write that.
The app growed with your help. Most in-app features that we have implemented thanks to your suggestions became available through the Mastodon API.
- Bookmarks, translations, scheduled messages, timed-mute, home muted for lists, etc.
So simply a big thank you for your support and make the app as it is🙏
America is doomed,
I don't have any stats on how much of a financial contribution that people who are gay, bring in to the economy, but given that a vast majority of working age, probably work (lets assume the rest are either school age or retired) then the number is significant from a very wide range of fields.
So for each gay person that the GOP gets rid of, they will need to replace with another worker with the same skill set, experience and qualifications, of course given all the other groups they want to get rid of, it leaves people who are white to fill those jobs, leaving out the white people who are educated, that leaves Red supporters, the very people who got rid of everyone else due to their bigotry, lack of edcation etc.
So if that is what is left over, then the USA is doomed.
Probably of no consolation but hold your head up high, you are valuable and worth something, ever forget that, The game is not over till the final whistle, never give in to hate.
A “missing" feature being something where there should have been a way to do a certain thing, that should've been possible with current federation logic.
For instance, missing links between pages, missing abilities to find certain information, etc.
So like, for ages we didn't have navigation links to Appeals and Account Warning Presents, even though those features existed, we'd just somehow missed the navigation links for those.
I just realized a good argument against computer ads.
Contrary to regular ads, it is actually using your resources (your power, time on the CPU you bought, etc)
So, shouldn't ad companies paying you money for displaying their ads? Like they pay billboard owners or news paper owners, etc.
So until then, using ad block is just preventing theft.
