However, | must decline, mostly because your guidelines are against gender-neutral pronouns, and my writing is all about decolonising how we see the world. In the cultures | grew up in, and in the non-English languages | speak, gender-neutral pronouns are a norm. Though | write in English, my characters primarily live in non- English and non-Western worlds, hence, | stay true to their world view and avoid bigoted guidelines in worldbuilding. If you have another project that is more inclusive and truly diverse, I'll consider it.
