Thread: Today U.S. District Court Judge Stephen Locher blocked enforcement of parts of Iowa education law. State CANNOT enforce provisions banning books that depict sex acts. State CANNOT enforce "don't say gay/trans" restrictions on instruction of LGBTQ topics in grades K-6. 1/ However the federal court denied the motion to block the forced outing provisions of same law (Senate File 496), ruling LGBTQ plaintiffs don't have standing to challenge this since they are out to their families. 2/
