   Hurt/comfort is one of my favourite tropes.

   I don't think I can pick a favourite fic, but I can filter my recs on the hurt/comfort tag:

   It's about 10% of my total recs.

   I think I like it in part because of my own illness & trauma. The description of hurt that recognises what it's like, and the comfort that makes such a difference.

   Even when the hurt can't be fixed, knowing that someone cares enough to provide comfort, it matters so much.
