In the absolutely awesome German state of Hesse, they are now introducing Ukrainian as an official elective course in school.
In Germany you must learn two foreign languages to obtain higher level school diplomas, and now Ukrainians can choose Ukrainian as that second foreign language. At the same time, native Germans get the chance to learn the language of 44 million Ukrainians too — which is great with Ukraine becoming an EU member state.

Yep. It's actually old, even before they adjusted the 9-dash line. Originally, it was the KMT who disputed it (and when they fled to Taiwan, Taiwan later continued the dispute, usually when the KMT was in power).
I think the last time I heard about it was in the early 90s, in school.
