@ Richard Stengel: _ @stengel The scariest part of this use of racist Nazi rhetoric is not the language or ideology (as hideous as that is)—it is that Hitler came to power legally. The Nazis were the highest polling party in Germany and Hitler was appointed Chancellor through a constitutional process. That was the last election in Nazi Germany. Democracies die not at the end of a gun barrel but at the ballot box, where people vote for an authoritarian leader who then does away with elections. We can't let that happen here.
