   I’m surprised we haven’t heard more fanfare about this, MICKEY MOUSE ENTERS THE PUBLIC DOMAIN ON JANUARY 1ST.

   In 2024 Mickey Mouse joins a host of other familiar public domain characters—Winnie the Pooh, Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, Robin Hood, Snow White, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland.

   Anyone can the original versions of Mickey & Minnie Mouse in stories, movies and books. The versions in Steamboat Willie though not the newer design from the Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
