Can I just block Mastodon entirely? » « The current plan is you'll have to have a public account and explicitly opt in to your content being available on other servers. This is consistent with what other large players like WordPress are doing, but somewhat controversial within the Mastodon community. If we end defaulting people in, we'll absolutely offer an opt out, but we're not currently moving in that direction. »

Plot-twist : l'annonce de l'arrivée de la compatibilité avec le fédivers ne plaît pas non plus à certaines personnes sur Threads ! En réponse, son dirigeant indique que leur plan est de rendre la visibilité sur le fedivers en *opt-in*, ce qui tue dans l'œuf beaucoup d'intérêt, vu que jamais les comptes de célébrités et d'organisations que je voudrais y suivre penseront/accepteront (surtout vu la gueule de la communauté) de cocher la case.
Tout ceci est navrant.
