I think AI "art" is not actually art. But the proliferation of AI "art" shows that a lot of what we previously considered "art" is actually a commodity product. In the past there has been no machine able to mass-produce this commodity product, so it had to be made piecewise by humans, i.e. the artists. Now there are machines that can mass-produce it. In a way this means that said humans never have been artists in the first place, instead they have been artisans.
