    Chili ist scharf weil es Capsaicin enthält. Säugetiere können Capsaicin schmecken, Vögel sind immun dagegen. Vögel können die Samen der Schote nicht verdauen, Säugetiere schon. Weil so nur Vögel die Schote fressen, werden die Samen sicher weit verbreitet.
