   So all kidding aside, the Flintstones and Jetsons are both shows that naturalize mid-century, American, middle-class, heteronormative whiteness by projecting it both forwards and backwards in time. It tells a certain segment of the audience, "The way you live is universal, so pay not attention to other ways of living: cultural, classed, raced, queer, etc.."
