@timnitGebru It's amazing how bad these AI guys are at everything they do. They're unethical, unable to build a decent software service to save their lives, and terrible at running a business.
AI companies drive the GPU market in a way that crypto was only dreaming of a few years ago, but they're completely befuddled by the basic idea that there are physical constraints to the supply.
After 151 years, Popular Science is ending its magazine. This is after the magazine switched to a quarterly publication schedule in 2018 then did away with the physical copies altogether after 2020.
The Internet effectively decimated newspapers and magazines. On the one hand there is now so much more knowledge being shared in blogs and social media. On the other, it’s now extremely difficult to make journalism work as a business.
AI will do the same to multiple fields.
