Thinking about all the fidget spinners that are in landfill now, along with Rubick cubes and tamagochis.
There should be some kind of national repository for playthings that go in and out of fashion. Instead of binning your yoyos and hula hoops, they go in the repository and are released again when enthusiasm for them rises once more.
What would you like to go into the repository? I'm thinking of plastic poppit beads I had in the 1950s.
(I am aware that these things remain on the market. I'm talking about crazes.)
