Photo of 2 branches of Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana). There are tight clumps of berries arranged along the stem every few inches; ripe ones are uniform lavender/purple, immature ones near the branch tip are greenish-white. It looks like a leafy stick onto which a toddler has squished handfuls of berries made of Play-doh. [Source: https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/callicarpa-americana/]
