Economy + BUT IF HE HADN'T CLOSED THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE... . 1.You mean the Keystone XL expansion. TransCanada Energy currently runs four up-and-operating pipelines in its Keystone network. The XL would've just been a shortcut for Line 1 via Baker, MT's reserves. 2.While Biden did revoke TC's land permit over Nebraska’'s Sand Dunes National Monument, canceling the XL outright was TC's own private business decision. 3.1t was only 8% completed and would STILL not be operational even today! 4.The kind of crude oil it would be pumping is called sand bitumen (aka: tar), which CAN (inefficiently) be refined into gasoline, but is far more profitable when converted into various petrochemicals for agricultural/industrial use. 5.It's a Canadian company. The finished product (and profits) would've been Canada'’s to do with, not ours. | simply don't space left to explain how one (unfinished) shortcut through one sand bitumen pipeline couldn’t have affected the gas prices.
