   The Washington Post has published dozens of photos of the aftermaths of some of the worst mass shootings in modern history—of what the crime scenes look like after the dead and injured have been removed. These pictures are very unpleasant and very difficult to see. I think many people regard a bullet wound as a tidy “off” button for life.
