In summary: the queer-friendly image of the Netherlands, still vivid in the imagination of both foreigners and Dutch people, feels now dated and illusory. This country still has a long way to go when it comes to trans rights. Changes in the legal and health system are long overdue. We call for true depathologization and self-determination for all trans people, and for the ban of all discriminatory medical practices. — Trans Rights Map is an ongoing effort from the TGEU (Transgender Europe) network since 2014.
