Question from some genius on the internet. Text reads: If There Is No God, Why Don't Atheists Indulge In Their Darkest Desires? | know you have probably heard this argument before but | have yet to meet an atheist engage with the argument honestly. According to many theists, god is the source of all morality. It is sound logic. You if have (moral) laws, you need a (moral) lawgiver. Under an atheist framework though-who is the moral lawgiver? It can't be the government cause governments have different laws. There is no source of objective morality to tell you that indulging evil desires like fucking kids, or strangling someone who pisses you off, or praising Hitler is wrong. So why don't you do it?

Penn Jillette (Penn and Teller): "The question I get asked by religious people all the time is, without God, what’s to stop me from raping all I want? And my answer is: I do rape all I want. And the amount I want is zero. And I do murder all I want, and the amount I want is zero. The fact that these people think that if they didn’t have this person watching over them that they would go on killing, raping rampages is the most self-damning thing I can imagine." #atheism
