She says that the average Palestinians she knows are terrified to say what they really feel about Hamas, just like Russians, Chinese, or any other people living under the thumb of ruthless authoritarians. I don't consider Hamas representative of the Palestinian people. I don't feel Palestinians or Israelis are well served by their govts. They deliberately stoke fear and hatred to maintain power (yes indeed, similar to the GOP!)

Also, I should add that I don't think everybody quite understands just how far-reaching this xenophobia linking all Palestinian people to Hamas terrorism to justify their genocide, has gotten.
In Canada, we just had a leftist Member of Parliament disbanded from her own party, for failing to mention the Hamas attack when criticizing the Israeli government for their bombardment of Palestine.
We cannot justify "collective punishment" on Palestinian people because of Hamas. That's war crime. #gaza
