"Filter action" options. You can hide with a warning or hide completely.

I still see people saying they prefer content warnings to filters, because filters make things disappear entirely from your timeline.
This is not true.
You can set filtered posts to show up under a warning, just like with content warnings.
If you're worried about seeing something on fedi that will ruin your day, there are no downsides to settings up filters to keep yourself safe.
