This is a head shot of a female white-tailed deer. She has a long neck rising up from her body. She was staring directly at me when I took the photo. Her head is relatively small at the end of her long neck, her large nose is black, and shiny and she has large black eyes. Her large almost rabbit like ears that stick up in a position of alertness. Her fur is mostly brown. but the areas down the front of her throat and inside her ears are white. The fur on the ridge of her snout and the edges of her ears is dark, perhaps black. "The white-tailed deer is a small, slender, and high-legged deer that is found from southern Canada to northern South America. It has a white underside of its tail and rump, which it raises when it runs. It has a reddish-brown coat in the summer and a grayish brown coat in the winter. It is a herbivore that browses for food at dawn and dusk. Only the males have antlers that are shed each year. It is a good swimmer and can escape predators by using water. It is the most popular large game animal in the USA." - bing.com
