A "Memphis-style" 1980s artwork of separate distinct visual planes giving the impression of another dimension, a post-modern reality of pure mathematical forms in physical layers, familiar to us today as an illusion on lit screens, but this is a physical static piece, made to mount on a wall in the era of Tron and Xanadu, well before these shapes could be easily conjured in light on any desktop by the public. Like futurism and art deco and sci-fi of all kinds, it uses old-fashioned techniques to point toward a near, but as yet only imagined, future. It makes you wonder what our screens are pointing us toward now, not just VR but beyond.
