A picture of a squat berry with the flower petals brown and dry still hanging off. It’s the size and shape of a blueberry but near the stem are narrow thin spiny leaflets protruding out of the berry. There are 8 of them and this is how it gets its name. The berry is turning white from green and hopefully turn purple soon. Behind the berry are green leaves. The berry casts a spider-shaped shadow on the leaf to its left.
