@PurpCat @RustyCrab @meso @VIPPER @blaaablaaaa @adachi @IlDuWuce @sally @jihadjimmy yeah i get nothing from it being free but i need it working right.My mediakek chip doesn't work right.
@trezzer You're probably right.
My memory about the boing ball logo adoption wasn't clear, so I checked Wikipedia and found there reference to Escom here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga#Marketing
However, the article linked as citation doesn't even mention Escom! Someone should edit that paragraph, possibly citing a better source.
My wife told me I need new jeans because my old jeans are too big on me.
Didn’t believe her because I’ve gained weight, not lost weight.
So she asked me to go to Old Navy and try on jeans, and she’s right.
My waist has shrunk by two sizes since last year.
When I was 215lbs, I could barely fit in size 38 jeans. Now I’m 225lbs and fit in size 36 jeans.
My last point is not that I don't care about being right.
My point is that I have ADHD and am blessed/cursed with the ability to hyperfocus. If I want to understand something better, I will find out about it on my own.
And I won't just find it, I will chase after and not stop until either it or I die of exhaustion.
If I am wrong that's probably because I don't care much about that particular topic, and your unsolicited input will not change that. If I am seeking your expertise you will know.
@Gigi yeah I mean the thing is right, I actually do believe Mastodon is just BETTER than Bluesky. It's not that I think the folks saying BS will BECOME Twitter are wrong; I very much know they're right.
My problem is that we're pretending it's a knowledge fail, when it's not - it's literally that the user experience here sucks, until you realize it's like interconnected forums, not a centralized social media app like Twitter.
And I dunno how to fix it, but I know the "drama" team ain't helping
