    yes, I work in biotech and liquids like DMSO are very dangerous cause they let all sorts of stuff thru your skin [ "permeabilize" in the jargo ]

    although, as far as I know, DMSO by itself isn't very toxic
    but if you mix the DMSO with say phenol (carboxylic acid) woah , WATCH OUT !!
