Summary and outlook JWST has provided clear evidence for electromagnetic emission association with the compact object. The observations are consistent with ionisation by a cooling neutron star or PWN. Asymmetric structure of both the inner ejecta and CSM reconstructed in 3D. Future observations (including NIRSpec with higher spectral resolution) will tell us more about the properties of the compact object. Continued monitoring will give more information about explosion asymmetries, dust, CSM structure, properties of shocks .......

Ooh! The first detection of clear signals of a compact object at the center of the supernova remnant SN 1987A! It's probably either a cooling neutron star or a pulsar wind nebula.
