   From Middle English chirche, from Old English ċiriċe (“church”), from Proto-West Germanic *kirikā, an early borrowing of Ancient Greek κυριακόν (kuriakón), κυριακός (kuriakós, “belonging to the lord”), from κύριος (kúrios, “ruler, lord”), from Proto-Indo-European *ḱewh₁- (“to swell, spread out, be strong, prevail”).
   kuriakós, “of or pertaining to a lord”), from κύριος (kúrios, “lord”). Literally, the place of the Lord (i.e. "the Lord's House").
   The Lord being Apollo, who you know as St. Michael. Also known as Lord Freyr. Every time you say the word Lord, you are invoking Lord Freyr.
