@Captain_Wet_Beard @Chuckar @Kyou @ceo_of_monoeye_dating @sjw I suppose that's its own issue. It's been talked about before by a lot of people, but there's a huge festering rot in American Christianity with a ton of churches embracing liberalism and adopting the "nice guy Jesus" meme, as if that's what actually needs to happen to live properly as a Christian. It's very hard to self-police when a schism can happen at the drop of the hat, and there's weird questions on who owns buildings and equipment etc. with unique challenges in every denomination. I think SuperLutheran is right on the money with housechurch becoming a path forward even if temporary, but it's still a housekeeping issue that needs resolved in the interim. Ultimately these pozzed churches will consolidate or collapse, and the important thing is having a grounded church available to fill the gap and potentially buy the building and begin the process of cleaning up the mess from within. I'm not suggesting every single rainbow flag waving church can be fixed either, but we ought to consider the possibility.
