Using AI for conversations happens to be the best use for it. But unfortunately they want to use it for "cheats" for answers you don't have and the AI can't actually answer a question. So roleplay with AI is pretty mid because it can only follow basic archetypes of characters and any nuance has to be micromanaged causing bloat. :roka_life: and when you micromanage the AI loses detail due to conflicts in wording and instructions.
So what is the benefit to having a well developed conversational AI?
It probably comes to the "doll effect" that you see with children and dolls, toys, etc. As a child you recreate and mimic the world around you with toys and supposedly it helps develop your social interactions.
As an adult having a well developed AI may allow you to see things in a different perspective. Being able to pass ideas around to something that knows "everything" but also is confrontational towards your ideas may allow you to better develop your ideas. :back_from_gab: :pippa_soypoint:
