17 17 is a dangerous age to be in a dangerous country. At 17, you could just be closing your family's sari-sari store for the night and still get preyed on by cops. At 17, you could just be on your way home from a gaming tournament and still be abducted by cops. At 17, you could just be getting ready to board your fishing boat and still be attacked by cops. When you're 17, your future should look its brightest. But in a dangerous country, the future belongs only to the rich and powerful, not to the 17- year-olds whose bullet-riddled bodies are dumped in dark alleys, abandoned in morgues, or left to sink in the river.
