“Lix.” It was the only thing that came to his mind right now. He would have loved to cup her cheek, and caress her hair, and pull her close, and hold her, telling her that she shouldn’t worry, and that he would take care of her, and that there would never be a time where he wouldn’t run to the farthest corner of the world to find her if she was in trouble. That he still loved her and that nothing that had happened and nothing that could happen in the future would ever change that. Yet, he couldn’t do or say any of that. It would be overstepping the boundary. She wouldn’t want any of that. He just looked into those wonderful blue eyes and the only words that seemed appropriate for what and how he felt was whispering her name. “Lix.” She didn’t say anything in return and so they just walked on until they came to a little bench where they sat down.
