Panel 1: Two people are interviewing a designer, holding their phones. The 1st interviewer says to the designer: “Lovely, we just have a few more questions. Why did your company implement this weird app feature?’ Designer replies: “Because the CEO told us to.” Panel 2: 2nd interviewer asks: “Did you run any research or user testing to validate the concept?” Designer replies: “No, because the CEO doesn’t like to hear any opinions that contradict his own.” Panel 3: 1st interviewer ask: “Wy didn’t it get iterated on later?” Designer replies: “Because the CEO said we were done with it and now had to work on something else he wanted instead.” Panel 4: 2 interviewer asks: “Do you have a problem with pushing back on difficult stakeholders?” Designer replies: “Only if their stake could plunge into the heart of my continued employment at any conceivable moment of displeasure…”
