   Most places open at past-midnight hours were considered run down, a little creepy with an ambience to match, but usually harmless.

   My sleepless night had me wandering, trying to walk out my restlessness.

   I couldn't help being drawn to the cozy bakery-cafe; I had never seen it open during the day.

   I slipped into a booth, looked at the menu, made a choice then woke up in my bed, well-rested.

   Later I found a receipt in my pocket.
