A field of stars fills the view — thousands of small points. Some are bright and red, others are bright and blue, most are faint and in shades of orange and white. Zoom into a smaller, but still crowded field of stars. The stars begin to move: Blue stars to the left, red stars to the right, and white stars to the middle. The left side of the frame is sparsely populated with blue stars. The middle has a fairly smooth gradient made out of many stars, ranging from white to yellow to red. The right side of the frame has a few bright red stars. The stars move again, keeping the color sort, but moving up and down so that the bright stars are at the top and the faint stars at the bottom. Text: Main sequence. A dense line of stars ranges from faint red stars at the bottom right to brighter white stars at roughly the middle of the frame. Text: "Red Giant Stars". A line of stars branches off the end of the main sequence line to the right. The stars range from white near the main sequence, to the large red stars in the upper right edge of the frame. Text: "Horizontal Branch Blue Stars". To the left of the main sequence and slightly above the Red Giant branch line is a horizontal line of bright blue stars that stretches to the upper right edge of the frame. An arrow points downward from the right edge of the horizontal branch line. Text: "White Dwarfs". A line of faint blue stars follows the arrow down. The stars rearrange themselves so that they are back to the original field of stars.
