I remember in grade school being taught that the challenge of my generation would be curbing warming below 1 degree. By the time I was in university, we'd already passed that, and my professors told me it would be 1.5 degrees instead. Now I'm getting my masters in climate change mitigation architecture, and they're telling me it'll be 3. 3 degrees was the apocalyptic outcome when I was a child. Now, it's the best case scenario. We've already lost and I haven't even gotten to play the game yet.
