   @pixelfed I'm all for tools to help people discover interesting relevant accounts, especially when they're new.

   Just please, please, please make sure that the discovery algorithm is based on *relevance to the users interests* and not *popularity* or *engagement* so we don't just repeat the mistakes and horrors of social networks past.

   eg. Match the hashtags they define for their account, or the keywords they post, not whatever posts are popular and have replies / favorites.
