   Melika Mahdavi, 16, stood in front of Islamic Republic soldiers during the demonstrations in Qeshm in October 2022 and burned her headscarf. The next day, the police arrested Melika. After a while, Melika was released, but she kept saying, "I won't give up. Melika continued her struggle against the Islamic Republic and was under constant surveillance by the regime's troops. Shortly after her release, Melika was thrown from a high-rise building to her death. Today Melika would have been 17 years old," Melika's mother posted on her daughter's birthday.
