   More or less rich inventors who do not give a flying fuck if someone dies as long as they're accorded all the fame and riches they feel they deserve, are why you have product safety standards, why you can't just launch customers into the sky from a cannon, why you're not allowed to put cocaine in your cough syrup to ensure a captured market share, and so on and so forth.

   As we've removed these regulations, we have seen the rise of this exact same sort of dipshit, once again. This all ties into a concept of a 2nd Gilded Age, because the symptoms DO look similar, when the disease is the same.
