   I wrote about queer despair for Slate Magazine.

   My goal for this piece was simple: I want to make the mainstream look at the devastation that is being caused by all the equivocating and both-sidesing and moderate centrist just-asking-questions while the basic rights and hard won acceptance the LGBTQ+ community has fought for is being slowly stripped from us.

   Your apathy did this. You did this. Despair is the result of treating LGBTQ+ rights as disposable.
