A chart made by one of my friends on twitter: a circular chart showing the "flow" of transmasc discourse. It circles infinitely, so let's start from a point near the top and go round: "trans men don't suffer misogyny because men don't suffer misogyny" Leads to: trans men find alternative ways to label and talk about the violence they suffer Leads to: "that is rooted in patriarchy labeling you a female, so it is misogyny" Leads to: trans men are descentered or kicked out from conversations about our own experiences Leads to: cis women don't have anything to say about the topic because they don't experience the issues we're talking about Leads to: "this is not misogyny because women don't suffer it" & "nobody experiences this so this is not an important issue" Leads to: trans men explain that it's a unique form of misogyny that affects trans men And this leads back to the first point, where it's stated that trans men don't suffer misogyny.
