Woah. #Lemmy usernames are case-sensitive? It might become a problem in other #fediverse software, which treats usernames as case-insensitive.
#Mastodon had this issue in its early days (2015/2016).
* The capitalised “Fediverse” is a user profile.
* The lowercase “fediverse” is a community/magazine.
See attached screenshot (as seen from #Kbin).
For me, this is a #bug. Other fediverse software where usernames are treated as case-insensitive will be stuck in the first version it sees and saves in its database. The other one will be inaccessible.
