I've been seeing a lot of posts on #Threads about how bad the #Instagram algorithm is now. Apparently a lot of people are getting way less engagement on their posts than they used to on IG. It seems to mostly be bookstagram and #photography accounts, at least from what I've seen.

This seems like the perfect opportunity for #Pixelfed to step in and fill the place Instagram had. 😁 :pixelfed:

"A small update!
First on Bernie's condition, unfortunately he has still been unable to pass urine on his own even with the medication and the vet trying to express the bladder. This means this afternoon he has again had to be sedated and have another catheter fitted. They are hoping they can keep this catheter in for 48 hours so he can have surgery on Monday."

Why are so many people in the replies on this post so upset over Pixelfed Stories? I think it's a fun feature and I'm excited to start using it, I don't understand the reaction it's getting. Seems unnecessarily negative.

A feature that's coming to the Pixelfed app are stories. They're already available on the web in beta but they're coming to the mobile app and I'm super excited about it. 😁 Can't wait to start using it.
