@Radical_EgoCom Of course it CAN be abolished - and I hope one day it will. However it must be with the whole-hearted support of the people.

@Radical_EgoCom I wouldn't say that any country has "abolished" capitalism. Even the socialist countries still allow people to operate businesses for profit - so those countries have a hybrid socialist / capitalist model. Certainly the more the spectrum shifts towards socialism the better a country seems to work....

@Radical_EgoCom I would LIKE to see capitalism abolished, but I don't think humanity is sufficiently advanced to adopt any other system of distributing goods. The only way we could currently make a non-capitalist society work would be to impose a brutal form of communism that would be abused by those in power.

Sometimes photographing birds is just pure joy 😍 Can you imaging my delight when not only did this happen, but I managed to pan with him AND my autofocus worked like magic. Sacred Kingfisher bathing today just before sunset. He dived in 3 times and I only caught the one, but I am simple delighted to have it. #birds #birdphotography

The world needs more meerkats right now, how fortuitous that it is RIGHT when I am trying to process hundreds of photos of meerkats.

Probably one of the most delightful little creatures to every photograph. This is a malachite kingfisher and they are titchy witchy. Almost macro level small. And fast. Here is a rare photo of one sitting still, letting me get relatively close (in a boat) and somehow getting him in focus. #birds #birdphotography

People following my posts may have come to the conclusion that Botswana is a brilliant place for birding, but lacks anything else. I am slowly trudging through the back log of photos, and I promise you I did occasionally turn my lens to something a little larger. Like this leopard walking towards us at sunset. I like doing landscape photography so much more when there is weather involved. And the odd bird helps.

Catching breakfast is only the start of the battle. The whistling kite caught the stilt, but then had to evade its sibling AND a swamp harrier who came to see what all the fuss was about and whether there might be a free meal involved. Kite no. 1 managed to keep the stilt all to itself. #birds #birdphotography

When I first started using a telephoto lens to photograph teeny tiny leeetle birds I felt like I was being transported into a magical miniature world. Today took me right back to those wonder filled first experiences, but with a bit more technique to back it up. It looks like this superb fairy-wren is standing watch over a little fairy garden. #birds #birdphotography #nature

Ok, there was one nice bird. These splendid wrens are difficult to photograph - they are tteeeeeny and move very quickly, and when you do get them the colours are SO bright they look plastic and fake. #birds #birdphotography #nature #photography
