PLEASE BOOST. Let’s get this info out there for anyone who might need it.

Immigration status, income are not a factor. NYC also can help you if you are past 22 weeks.
Users are now allowed to, for example, refer to “women as household objects or property” or “transgender or non-binary people as ‘it”. A new section of the policy notes Meta will allow “allegations of mental illness or abnormality when based on gender or sexual orientation, given political and religious discourse about transgenderism and homosexuality.
People in the US who are in danger now - tonight, New Mexico has reaffirmed that it is solidly Blue. This state is far from perfect, but we just reelected our Dem Senator and Representatives, and we voted for Harris. We have legal weed, and gay rights and reproductive freedom are part of our constitution, and we did away with qualified immunity for cops. We have FREE college! And despite all the bullshit you hear, Albuquerque is not particularly dangerous.
Good afternoon. Today is 18 days since the air conditioner for my office broke. They are waiting for a part. 18 days. The current temp is 98°F. It has been like that for the entire 18 days. I have not been offered a portable air conditioner or even a fan. The window does not open, and it’s incredibly stuffy.
If there was even one other job in this town other than healthcare practitioner or attorney or Border Patrol which paid more than $15/hour, I would apply.
For the first time in a long time, I don’t feel like I need to be thinking about which country to escape to after Election Day. I hope my more marginalized friends are feeling that relief too.
Everything’s coming up SUNFLOWERS! I planted them in hopes of covering up the ugly cinderblock wall. They’re not tall enough, but they are definitely an improvement.
@ryanhoulihan well in that case, it depends on what your highest priority is. The Netherlands is the most liberal country in terms of live and let live. (The city of Haarlem, right outside of Amsterdam, is really nice, too.) personally I’d be torn between Dublin and Toronto but I think I’d pick Dublin for the culture. But really none of them are bad choices. (I’ve been researching this deeply for probably 10 years)
@ryanhoulihan oh, not because of that. I meant that a lot of countries won’t let you in unless you have a certain income, and that income level tends to be more than a lot of people make. Even Mexico started requiring an income of $50K a year.
Having finished my second day of physical therapy yesterday, I have learned 3 things:
1. I’m uncoordinated (I actually already knew that) 2. I don’t know how to breathe 3. I breathe wrong
2 and 3 might seem like they’re the same thing, but they’re not. I fail at the single, most basic part of existence. But shit, I still get things done, so I guess it’s not that bad.
