@iron_bug Getting profit is not necessary the main attribute of exploitation. I would say that any use is exploitation actually, so the question is: do you have my permission to use my works or not? Because I want to control my creations and have the privilege to use them exclusively . Or the privilege to choose who I share this privilege with.

Some lawyers I know say that when AI uses thousands of others' images it's the same as if a person go to museum, be inspired by hundreds of pictures, and then create a new pic on this basis, so it's not a copyright violation.

However, look at this from the author's point of view: when you create, are you OK with that you'll inspire others? Cool.

And are you OK that someone will exploit your works without your permission?

Exploitation is not the same as inspiration.
