When the In Memoriam: Le Pen album?
The quote above is an adapted version from the Chumbawamba album In Memoriam: Margaret Thatcher, released to celebrate her death.

Today it has been one week since i got my #Novovax vaccine and i think it is now safe to say, that i have no side effects (besides some minor pain in the arm where the shot was administered). This was not the case every time i got a #mRNA vaccine or booster, on the contrary. My reactions went from bad to worse.
Since the Swiss agency responsible (#SwissMedic) fucked up the approval process, we had to travel 400 km and i had to endure many sleepless nights worrying if i would receive it.
@skinnylatte Same with cooking elaborate meals as a part of self-care. Interestingly enough though for me it's just the other way around. While living in SF i discovered so many amazing dishes and when i moved back here, Switzerland with the most boring cuisine ever, i missed them and that made me sad. But then i started to cook them myself.
@Scienceisnotopinions I am trying my best not to call anyone an idiot, but i admit, with Adams it is difficult not to.
Reminder: Wearing a mask is anti-fascist praxis.
Just is. Cause i said so.
But should you need the longer argument, @broadwaybabyto has got you covered:
"[#MaskBans] are another step in escalating fascism. Wild government overreach that represents a violation of our bodily autonomy & right to to protect our health. Everyone should be angry about that.
[...]
The more people who are masking - the harder masks will be to ban. If we normalize them as a public health tool - we can stop unfairly profiling maskers as criminals - because itโs yet another stigma that puts us in danger. "

What are you waiting for to show your solidarity with immunocompromised, chronically ill and disabled people in the most practical way, while also fighting fascism AND protecting your and your loved ones health????!!!
Frankly, i don't understand.
โAsserting your boundaries and having your rules or requests ignored can be exhausting. At the end of the day itโs perfectly okay if you just decide to avoid situations, stop engaging with boundary breakers, or choose to walk away instead of restating a request.โ
~ Violet Blue - The Covid Safety Handbook
Life is extremely lonely now, because i hate having to beg people to respect my #COVID19 boundaries. My solution is to avoid all situations that might entail having to beg people. Even doctors
My partner is getting her booster today. For weeks i have been trying to convince myself to get one as well. If they offered #Novovax i would not hesitate one second, but they only have mRNA. So i went back and forth about it over many sleepless nights.
My last booster did not go well. At all. It set me back almost to the start of my #LongCovid, symptoms i had thought I had overcome were back. It took me until last summer to get back to baseline.
So it's a no. Sucks. But it feels too risky.
And before people freak out, here's what i plan to do.
In December i will try to get a #Novovax shot in a neighboring country, #Germany or #France. I was told Novovax should be available then in Germany.
If anyone can confirm, please tell me.
If it won't be possible, i will reconsider my risk assessment with an eye on case numbers in #Switzerland. Maybe i will get a mRNA shot, but kicking & screaming. The side effects after the last booster were inacceptable & i don't do well with worries.
In more general terms, i think if someone already had a bad reaction, be it to a vaccine or a booster, they should feel comfortable not to take the same risk yet again. They should be able to count on the fact that enough people are still getting vaccinated.
But here we are now. Vaccination numbers have fallen off a cliff. Which means that those of us, who are most at risk to experience a bad reaction, are almost in a bind to get one.
That's a huge bummer and another example of abandonment.
"They want to say shit that upsets you and then watch you get upset. Starve them of that shit. Block them all. There's nothing constructive about the conflict fetish that drove the algorithm in the bad place. Arguing online only hardens most people's positions anyway. We don't have to live that way."
"By focusing on mutual aid, small-scale organizing, and the quiet cultivation of democratic values, anti-authoritarian groups can build a foundation for long-term change without putting themselves or their communities in unnecessary danger. Resistance in these contexts isnโt about dramatic gesturesโitโs about survival, resilience, persistence, and the joy of building with others and creating deep connections."

Well.
Watching Democracy Now every night has turned into torture.
I am considering a news fast.
Or what i would actually prefer is to get news from the resistance, from people organizing horizontally or disrupting the system. And an anarchist comedian maybe.
Any ideas?
I mean i get it.
This is the ultimate apocalyptic end time porn.
Trump is giving the military to a Christian Nationalist, health to an anti-vaxxer, the DoJ to a rapist, he is sending an evangelical Zionist to be amabassor to Israel, etc.
It's all so fucking predictable and so fucking shortsighted. Duh.
And all this because he wants his revenge on Obama for making fun of him?!
The resistance starts with taking care of each other.
"Together with others, we can use our solidarity to build the resistance, and refuse to cooperate with repression. Timothy Snyder, expert on the rise of fascism and authoritarianism, says โDo not obey in advanceโ. It's easy to be intimidated by the sheer force of power-over, but when we resist, we often find that power is not as absolute as it appears. There are many ways we can slow the onslaught."
~ Starhawk
"We will not submit to the norms or edicts of the fascists who would rule us, but we must be thoughtful, strategic, & calculating in our actionsโincluding bold actions. We will protest. We will create spaces where we can recommit to our values, to each other, & to the causes that unite us. We will fight for each other & for the future. We will do these things together in the hopes of saving lives, emptying cages, & transforming our world."

Indeed, let's just get started, in small groups, not intimidated by the huge task at hand. Because as Vicky says:
"And as we enter a period of more and more open repression, a big organization with large visible meetings and structure is much more vulnerable to repression by the state, infiltration by the far right, or cooptation by bad actors and scammers, who are increasingly common in this crumbling society."
They are finally leaving Twotter.
But why for Cryptosky?
