NEW: Colorado's governor Jared Polis signed a law that bans local governments from partnering with ICE to jail immigrants.

(This is a way some counties generating revenue by treating their jails as tho they were ICE hotels.)

Really outrageous. People in jail are typically eligible to vote — they've never be convicted, or else their conviction is too low-level to lose voting rights — but most often, local officials don't let them.
