15 years ago a friend and I went into Netflix to pitch them the idea of fast channels (before there were fast channels) that would be genre specific and could be used as a marketing tool to promote new series and alert viewers when returning series were coming back. I’m sure after we left the meeting there was a lot of eye rolling on their part. Fast forward 15 years and look what Netflix is thinking of doing to increase viewer engagement.
