i’ve noticed an almost exponential increase in temporary license plates on cars in LA these past couple weeks, and i’ve also seen a lot less teslas than usual

and i’m gonna hope those two things are directly related

@quinn lots of trans people only have the one though. the point is that on its own it sends a stronger statement, and a lot of cis people are uncomfortable with the thought of someone thinking they’re trans. the point is to get people to examine that

@quinn @jbaggs okay but I’m not asking people to actually do it. It is a THOUGHT EXPERIMENT designed to get you thinking about your own feelings around transness

and honestly that you’re working so hard to NOT think about it is part of that experiment

now just look at what that’s telling you about yourself

think about a trans pride pin, patch, sticker

on YOU

wearing it out in the world, right now, while you go about your day

what if it made people think you were trans? how would that make you feel?

you might learn some things

about us, yes, but also about you
