Metadata is used by the filing systems in a way that is often opaque to the humans that run the systems.

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Boy Scouts of America are the two organizations that are writing amicus briefs to the Supreme Court to defend a ruling that shields guilty people from consequences and justice.

Is it possible that the person asking has assumed that there's a reason why "you didn't just..." and is attempting to find out what that reason is (possibly because they didn't listen to what was said previously that might explain why)? Communication is rarely perfect and often needs a lot of error correcting.

Nonetheless, still annoying to deal with.

I wish that there was an indication of when an account boosted post. It's disorienting to see only the time of the original post in a timeline.
